www.SweetPromptings.com Sweetness, kindness, and compassion are not soft ideas, concepts, or notions; they are enduring realities borne out by research, books of wisdom, and living life. Visualize them as three concentrated in one, to help heal hurting people. According to author Tracey Collins, Hope is tangible and we are each other’s hope. In these times of both crises and opportunities, compassion involves people increasingly acting on promptings to provide relief and recovery for those in need. The wonderful thing about sweetness is that it still creates an uncomplicated awareness that we can and should invest in ourselves and each others’ wellbeing. Her book, Sweet Promptings: Showing Compassion for Others (paperback, 978-1-60477-683-6), will teach readers to nurture themselves and others at a deeper and more substantive level. As such, she has developed Sweet Promptings as part of “The Campaign of Inspiration”—whereby she envisions at least a million people reading her book and being inspired to cultivate sweetness, kindness, and compassion within themselves and others. This pay it forward approach, the author believes, will generate more harmony and wellness in the global community. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to children and families in need. Says Collins, “Sweet Promptings is a movement and a book. That sounds different because it is. It’s a call to action. In this time of challenge and change, we’ve got to cultivate sweetness, kindness, and compassion within ourselves because it appeals to the best of who we are, and we’ve got to invest in the wellbeing of others.” People Need Compassion Now! An educator and author whose life’s work is supporting children and families across the globe, Collins believes in partnering with others to help generate change for the better. Armed with her motto—“Together we can”—the author has found ways to cultivate purpose and cascade out her life’s work, such as in her not-for-profit organization, Fully Persuaded for Children and Families, Inc. The book and the not for profit are “gifts that keep on giving,” because through them Tracey is able to contribute to improving the quality of life. |
